Do not try to remove water from the mouth or lungs (e.g., by shaking)

Actions:

  • Start resuscitation measures in case of respiratory arrest and use an AED device if possible
  • Have someone immediately call emergency services (112)
  • Ensure immediate transport to the nearest hospital
